Internet Search Engines and Subject Directories
Search engines are automated programs (sometimes called spiders or bots) that crawl through the Web and index the pages they find, creating a database that they use to match your search terms.

http://quick-answer.blogspot.com
  •  AllTheWeb AlltheWeb combines one of the largest and freshest indices with the most powerful search features that allow anyone to find anything faster than with any other search engine.
  • Bing Bing is a search engine that finds and organizes the answers you need so you can make faster, more informed decisions.
  •  Ask Ask.com strives to be the most intuitive, relevant & personalized search destination on the web.
  •  Dogpile Dogpile was built to give users the best search results available on the Web. This is accomplished by searching all the most popular engines and retrieving the best combined results.
  •  Google Google contains a subject directory, and image search and much more.
  •  HotBot From the main search screen, you can also search using Yahoo. Use the advanced search screen for more powerful search feature.  For example, you can limit your search to only web pages that come from a university or college.
  •  Ixquick Ixquick takes your query to several search tools at once, finds hits, and returns them to a single result list. Because it uses several engines, the searching refinements are limited to the lowest common denominator.
  •     Mamma A globally popular meta-search engine, Mamma.com brings forth refined search results from the web’s top search engines; assisting users to efficiently find the information they seek online.
Yahoo Yahoo is the web's oldest "directory" and contains web and image search and much more.
Yippy Yippy queries several top search engines, combines the results, and generates an ordered list based on comparative ranking and then groups similar results together into 'clouds'. Clouds help you see your search results by topic.

Ambassador Bodde Opens English Access Microscholarship Programs in Morang

http://quick-answer.blogspot.comJune, 27- Kathmandu,  The United State(US) Ambassador Peter W. Bodde launched the English Access Microscholarship Programs in Itahari and Morang, Wednesday.

The English Access Microscholarship Program – more commonly known as the Access Program – provides a foundation of English language skills and leadership skills to disadvantaged youth.  This is done through a two-year program of after-school classes and extracurricular activities.  In addition to English, Access students learn about American culture and democratic values.  They also develop leadership skills and discover ways to help their communities through volunteer service.

Talking to the new Access students in Itahari,  mbassador Bodde said: “I want to tell you, the new Access students, that we believe in you.  If you
work hard in this program, you can achieve great things.  We’re offering
you education and training so you can go on to study in college,
university and beyond.  At the end of this two-year program, your English
and public speaking skills will be better, and we expect you to take these
skills and become leaders in your schools and in your communities.  I have
high expectations for all of you.”

The Access program is world-wide.  Since it started in 2003, over 95,000
students in more than 85 countries have participated in the program.  In
Nepal, the Access Program began in 2011, and 280 students have graduated
so far.  Currently, there are 320 students enrolled in Access classes across Nepal.

SLC exam results 2070-2071 with marks, percentage and marksheet

The OCE (Office of the Controller of Examinations) is likely to publish the SLC (School Leaving Certificate) exam results by Saturday.

An OCE board meeting on Tuesday agreed to publish the results by the end of the current Nepali month. The office has already prepared the marks ledger and the cross matching process is under way. The results will be announced at the end of the final verification process which will be over in the next couple of days.

Exam Controller Bishnu Bahadur Dware said officials have been mobilised 24 hours to speed up the process.

A board meeting after the final verification will decide on the grace marks depending upon the pass percentage, said Dware.

The OCE has been granting five marks to students who fail in a maximum of two subjects in order to increase the pass percentage.

However, after immense pressure to reverse the falling success rate, the Education Ministry is set to increase grace marks.

The results will be published in seven websites, seven SMS services and one voice call service provider.
